The "Online Account Connection" is the easiest and the most convenient way to connect to a remote PC via the Internet without configuring the connection profile using the IP addresses and ports. Read more about this connectivity mode here...

All your PCs (Host and Admin) are united into one logical group - the Online Account (something similar to work group or domain). Computers united in the Account can be located anywhere: in different LANs, in the Internet or even from different countries.
Each computer in the Account has a unique nickname.
During Anyplace Control's installation process you will be able to either create a new Online Account or connect to an existing one. To connect to an existing Online Account you will need to know the Account Name and Account Password.
After adding the Host computer into the Online Account it is rather easy to connect to it via the Internet. Start the Admin Module and in the "Online Account Connection" tab you will see that the Host PC will automatically appear. Choose the PC from the list, click the 'Connect' button and get full access to the remote PC.
Account Name - the name of your computer's logic group. We do recommend that you enter your valid e-mail address as your Account Name.
Account Password - the password, which protects the connection to your Online Account. This password is needed in order to add new PCs into the Account, to see the list of your Account computers in the Admin Module, and to change the Account properties. This password differs from Host Module's Access Password (these are two different passwords).
PC's Nickname for the Online Account: each PC must have its unique name, which by default is the name displayed in the Network Places.
There are 2 Account Access Types:
· | Private: Account Password is necessary to connect to the Online Account for both the Host and the Admin Module.
· | Public: Account Password is needed only for the Admin Module to connect to the Online Account. The Host Module can be added into the Account without a password. The Public Account is useful if you are planning to provide your customers with a remote tech support since you don't need to inform them of your Account's Password.
·
Both Modules (Admin and Host) interfaces have a drop-down menu called "Options" with the following Account commands:
"Change Account Password or properties...": this command allows you to view your Online Account Properties, to change your Account Password, and to modify your Account Access Type.
"Use another Online Account": this command allows you to switch between the existing Online Accounts (for example, between home Account and a corporate one) or to simply create a new Account.
