The Host Module Settings: Security Tab.
You can change your Access Password by pressing the corresponding button.
If your "Protect your Host Module settings with Access Password" option is checked, you would then need to enter the correct Access Password to perform any change in the Host Module's settings.
Allowed remote access features
You can establish 2 different kinds of remote access to a Host PC:
· | "All features (full access)": a remote Admin user can view a Host's screen and control it (using mouse and keyboard), restart, turn off Host remotely, use File Transfer and all other features.
· | "Screen view only": a remote Admin user can only view Host's screen without the ability to interact with it, transfer files, etc. This mode can be useful for classrooms when students have to view teacher's screen (while showing of presentation).
When using "Interactive user permission is required to accept connection" option (it is disabled by default) there is no need to be concerned with the security of your Host PC. A pop-up window will appear and you will be notified if external connection has been initiated to connect to your Host PC. You will be able to accept or decline this connection, and if no response is received from you the connection will be automatically declined.
IP-addresses filtering.
The IP Filter only allows incoming connections to the Host Module from specified IP addresses and subnets.
For the IP Filter using the "Use IP filtering for incoming remote connections" option, click the "Edit" button and add the wanted IP addresses and subnets into the list.
Example:
Single IP: 192.168.0.5
Subnet: 192.168.*.*
